NORTH VENICE, Fla. — PGT Custom Windows and Doors is excited to share that it was recognized twice on Door and Window Market Magazine’s annual Readers’ Choice Awards—for the WinGuard Vinyl Preferred line and the WinGuard Preferred View Sliding Glass Door.
According to DWM, each year, the staff gathers information on the industry’s best products to share with its audience. In December, the publication then asks readers to wrap up the year by participating in a Readers’ Choice Survey, selecting the products they see as most significant to the industry.
In 2024, DWM’s annual awards featured 30 categories — nine more than the previous year.
In the Energy Star Rated-Door and Window Series and Systems category, PGT’s WinGuard Vinyl line was named. These versatile, stylish products add an extra layer of protection and comfort to a home’s interior. In the Doors — Folding, Sliding and Patio category, PGT’s WinGuard Preferred View Sliding Glass Door was specifically selected by the readers. The glass door’s narrow panel profiles – measuring just 2 ½” wide – allow for more glass and less frame in each panel, creating expansive sightlines that invite natural light while providing an extra layer of protection. Up to eight glass door panels move horizontally along tracks, with expansions of up to 40 feet for uninterrupted views and blending indoor and outdoor spaces. Readers reported the product as sleek and innovative.
